In partnership with the LTA and IBSA, we are pleased to welcome Expressions of Interest for the IBSA World Games, taking place from the 18-27 August 2023 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Get ready to participate in the IBSA WORLD GAMES 2023!
IBSA World Games, organised by the Birmingham Local Organising Committee (LOC) in conjunction
with the LTA and IBTA, will be held from 18th -27th August 2023 in Birmingham, UK.
IBTA has been commissioned to collect the expressions of interest forms from all players, including
those from the host country. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 31st January 2023.
Completing this entry form is no guarantee of participating in the IBSA World Games but mainly for
sharing your interest in attending the games. As per the entry guidelines for the IBSA World Games,
Country Representatives, Players, Coaches, Carers, and Officials are invited to complete the entry form.
Information about your expression of interest will be shared with the IBSA World Games organisers and
your IBTA Country Representative for administrative purposes and communication follow up. If your
country does not have an IBTA representative, your entry will still be taken into account.
The games organisers will use the initial information collected during this phase for event planning
purposes. Eligibility and selection criteria are to be met to be able to attend the games. Both IBSA and
IBTA classification rules will apply.

2025 Burgundy IBTA Grand Prix (FAQ)
What are the tournament dates?
The tournament venue is

The competition will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on November 11, 2025, and will conclude on November 15, 2025, with the Medal Ceremony, Prize Money distribution, and surprises.
When can I leave?
The finals and the Medal Ceremony will take place until approximately 6:00 pm on November 15, 2025. The Cocktail Reception (Celebration Time) will follow in the evening.
We therefore recommend planning your departure on Sunday, November 16, in the morning.
How do I collect my accreditation and room access card?
Upon arrival at the accommodation center, please go directly to the Accreditation Center.
Do not go to the hotel reception desk, as they will not be able to provide your documents or room card.
Present your ID to one of our staff members, who will then issue all the required documents.

What is the program for the week?
- November 9, 2025: Opening of the Official Accreditation Center
- November 10–11, 2025: IBTA Tennis Camp (open to all, including non-tournament players; €80/day per person. Free for registered tournament players)
- November 11, 2025 (evening): Opening Ceremony
- November 12, 2025: Start of the B1–B4 competition
- November 14, 2025: Semi-finals
- November 15, 2025: Finals (B1, B2, B3, B4) + Closing Ceremony in the afternoon + Cocktail Reception (Celebration Time) in the evening
- November 16, 2025: Departure of delegations
What does the Hospitality Package include?
The official tournament hotel is Hotel Ibis Dijon Gare.

Per person, per day:
- Accommodation in twin or single room (+€30/day for a single room)

How much is the Hospitality Package?
- €138/day/person in a twin room (2 separate single beds)
- €168/day/person in a single room (1 double bed)
To comply with the event commitments for safer and more respectful sport, mixed-gender twin-room sharing will not be allowed without each individual’s confidential written consent.
All sensitive information will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, respect, and seriousness. Throughout the tournament, you may confidentially contact the Organizing Team or the IBTA to report inappropriate behavior, ensuring everyone’s safety.
Will I be reimbursed if the tournament is canceled?
Yes. In case of cancellation, you will be fully refunded for all payments made to the organization. However, travel costs remain at your own expense and will not be reimbursed.
We strongly recommend taking travel cancellation insurance for all your journey segments.
Is there a tournament-only package without hospitality?
Can I train before and during the tournament?
Yes.
- Training sessions on outdoor courts may be reserved via the tournament app throughout the IBTA Tennis Camp and the tournament.
- On November 10–11, players may also practice on official indoor courts to get familiar with the venue (acoustics, lighting, contrast).
Will coaching be allowed?
Will matches be available for replay?
Yes. All matches will be available for replay.
Replays will also be used to:
- improve international classification methods,
- align clinical classifications with on-court performance.
I have never played in an official international tournament. Can I register?
Yes. We strongly encourage new players to participate.
You must, however:
- undergo an official international classification
- submit your ophthalmological documents beforehand to mdf@internationalblindtennis.orgfor IBTA Medical Department pre-assessment
- confirm (or adjust) your classification during the on-site medical examination.
You must arrive on November 9, 2025 for classification.

I don’t eat meat or pork. Will there be suitable menus?
Yes. We have planned specific menus for special dietary requirements.
Our catering teams will be particularly attentive. Please indicate your dietary restrictions when registering.
Additionally:
- a gluten-free option is available at breakfast,
- we are working with our suppliers to broaden the range for other meals, whenever possible.
Which documents do I need to register on site?
You will need:
- an ID from your country of origin or current country of residence,
- a copy (as a precaution) of your registration and payment confirmation,
- to complete the IBTA participation waiver. This is mandatory for all the players and participants. Please use the link below:

I would like to pay by credit card. Is this possible?

How about Anti-Doping?
When can I arrive?
The official accreditation center will open for players, companions, coaches, medical classifiers, officials, and volunteers on November 9, 2025, from 3:00 pm onwards.
You may arrive starting from this date.
How can I travel to and from Dijon?
Dijon is a city in the Burgundy–Franche-Comté region, famous for its fine gastronomy and historical heritage. It is located about 300 km from Paris, Lyon, and Geneva.
The city is accessible by:
- train,
- long-distance bus,
- Dole Airport (closest, but with limited long-haul flights).
The Dijon Ville train station is located only 140 meters from the accommodation center.
We recommend arriving via the airports of Paris, Lyon, or Geneva, then traveling on to Dijon by train or bus.
Our dedicated Concierge Team (concierge@burgundygp.com) can assist you in organizing your journey segments from your arrival airport.
If enough participants are interested, we will also arrange long-distance bus transfers to and from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle Airport at attractive prices.
Why is an ID photo required during registration?
Your ID photo is necessary to produce your accreditation card. This card is mandatory and ensures that you are the rightful holder when presented during official checks.
It will be required for access to:
- the tournament restaurants,
- the classification area,
- your player benefits,
- the courts,
- the Burgundy Players Lounge,
- the shuttles,
- the ceremonies…
It also ensures the safety and security of all participants during the event.
What happens if I lose my accreditation?
Your accreditation is your identity document throughout the tournament and your pass for all services.
In case of loss, you may request a duplicate at the Official IBTA Burgundy Grand Prix Accreditation Center. A replacement fee of €40 will be charged.

- IBTA Tennis Camp: €80/day/person
- Tournament: €70/player (one-time fee)
Players registered for the tournament receive free participation in the Tennis Camp.
- IBTA Capitation Fees – mandatory whether you join the camp, the tournament, or both.

How much is participation for companions?
Companions will only be charged the Hospitality Package fee per person, per day, and are exempt from registration fees.
Can I cancel after registering?
Yes, under conditions:
- If you have not yet paid your hospitality or registration fees, you may freely cancel within the deadline.
- If you have already paid, your registration is considered final. No refunds will be issued.
You may, however, subscribe to the all-risk insurance coverage offered by our event partner, which protects you before, during, and after the tournament.
Who can join the IBTA Tennis Camp?
The IBTA Tennis Camp is open to all levels and ages.
It will include:
- discovery and initiation modules, led by professional blind tennis coaches,
- modules dedicated to international high-level players,
- coaching workshops for international coaches to share best practices,
- training modules for coaches, referees, and classifiers.
The program will be announced soon and will be managed exclusively by the IBTA.

What is the official tournament ball?
The official ball will be the Danish ball from Handi Life Sport.
Will matches be streamed online?
Yes. All matches on official courts will be filmed and live-streamed online. Cameras will also support match analysis and video-assisted refereeing.
How many matches will I play at minimum?
We understand that participating in a tournament is a significant financial investment, especially for players without national support.
We guarantee at least 2 matches per player. If necessary, we will limit entries or adjust draws to keep this commitment.
I am French, do I need to have an FFT license?
- have a valid FFT license,
- present a medical certificate issued within the last 3 months authorizing competitive tennis.
I am not a French resident. Am I subject to the FFT license procedure and the medical certificate?
You are not required to present an FFT license nor a medical certificate (which is reserved for French players). However, you must complete the IBTA participation waiver in order to play or attend the event if you are not a player by using the link below.
