2023 IBTA World Rankings

This is the first year where rankings have been compiled and calculated using the results from two international competitions. The rationale used was as follows:

    1. The best result from either the 2023 IBSA World Games in Birmingham or the 2023 IBTA World Championships in Poland was used.
    2. It was not possible to compare the results from both competitions below the 4th position because one event held position play offs for each position, whereas the other did not. Rankings have therefore been calculated based on the combined number of wins.
    3. Where a player did not record any wins then they have been awarded a notional 50 points.
    4. Rankings from 2019 were not reflected in the 2023 rankings.

  • Issues with the B4 event in Poland meant that not all matches were played. The top 4 rankings have therefore been based on the results at the IBSA World Games in Birmingham plus head to head results between top 4.
  • Based on results in their respective sight categories and number of wins.
