Satoshi Yokota
Dr. Satoshi Yokota is the Head of Medical & Research for the 2023-24 term. Satoshi first met the IBTA in 2018 while he attended the classification course held by the former IBTA President, Dr. Gaetan Li. Since then, he has dedicated his volunteer work for the blind tennis community to improve the classification system.
Satoshi obtained his MD and Ph.D. from Kyoto University and is currently working at Kobe City Eye Hospital as a glaucoma and retinal dystrophy specialist. He is a council member of the Japan Society for Low-vision Research and Rehabilitation and helps patients with vision impairments.
